Stanly County Transportation (SCUSA) has developed an Emergency Evacuation Drill to train drivers and first responders to evacuate passengers from a transit vehicle using various scenarios. Participants must make decisions based on the scenario and are quizzed on the actions taken to ensure the safety of all riders.
The scenarios are designed by the County Emergency Management Service using EMS trainers with smoke machines on a rolled over bus to create a realistic scene for a potential emergency event.
