Fall Hazard Photo Scavenger Hunt for Construction Workers

Objective:
Utilize smartphone cameras to identify and photograph potential fall hazards on or near the worksite.
Duration:
One week(e.g., Monday to Friday
Team Structure:
Participants can work individually or in crews.
Submission:
Photos should be submitted daily to a designated Safety Professional.
Scoring:
Each crew should look at photos captured for the week and select one to be sent to your Division Safety Person for review.
Scavenger Hunt Tasks: (Avoid taking pictures of your co-workers):
  • Unprotected Edges - Photograph open sides or edges without guardrails.
  • Improper Ladder Use - Capture ladders that are not properly secured or set up.
  • Scaffold Issues - Find scaffolding missing toe boards or guardrails.
  • Roof Work Without Fall Protection - Identify workers on roofs without visible fall protection.
  • Floor Holes - Spot floor openings that are not covered or properly marked.
  • Cluttered Walkways - Capture tripping hazards near edges or on elevated surfaces.
  • Unsafe Aerial Lifts - Photograph aerial lifts without proper fall restraint systems.
  • Improper Harness Use - Identify workers wearing harnesses that are not properly secured or adjusted.
  • Slippery Surfaces - Capture wet or slick areas on elevated surfaces.
  • Inadequate Anchor Points - Find anchor points that appear damaged or improperly placed.
