05 PAVEMENT MARKING AND DELINEATION PLANS

5.19 Object Markers

Object Markers are used to warn road users of obstructions within or adjacent to the roadway or of the end of a roadway. Object markers are not considered a vertical extension of the pavement markings. Their use and function are described in MUTCD Sections 2C.62 through 2C.64. If a Signing Plan is required on a project, object markers shall only be shown in the Signing Plan, including references to the NCDOT RSD and quantities.
