What must I do to maintain my certification as a DBE?
Annual
Process
: You must provide to NCDOT every year on the anniverary of the date of your certification, a Declaration of No Change along with the Firm's most recent completed
Business Federal tax return
or tax extension for the current tax year if applicable. The declaration states that there have been no changes in the firm's circumstances affecting its ability to meet the size, disadvantaged status, ownership, or control rquirements of 49 CFR Part 26 and Part 23 and 13 CFR Part 121, or any material changes in the information provided in its application form. If you fail to provide the requested information, you will be deemed to have failed to cooperate and your status may be removed.

La empresa presenta una
Declaración jurada anual
y una
Declaración de patrimonio neto personal
para demostrar que el estado de su estructura comercial, propiedad, control o estado financiero no han cambiado durante el año anterior de maneras que afecten su elegibilidad para continuar participando en el programa DBE.
Se le avisará 30 días antes del aniversario de la certificación para darle suficiente tiempo para presentar los papeles correspondientes.

El proceso de revisión de la certificación es muy similar al de la certificación inicial pero tiene algunas excepciones menores. Se requiere una
Solicitud de renvisión de la certificación
y una
Declaración de patrimonio neto personal
cada tercer año de certificación. Se le avisará 30 días antes del aniversario de su certificación para darle suficiente tiempo para que presente los papeles correspondientes.
