Community Involvement is an important part of NCDOT Leadership & Management Development Association. The Community Involvement Committee plans and participates in multiple volunteer and collection drive opportunities throughout the year, including:

- Military Coupons for Troops Drive/Ft. Bragg (year-round)
- Salvation Army Winter Apparel Drive (Nov.-Jan.)
- American Red Cross /Operation Green Chair Collection Drive (March-May)
- Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina Food Drive (June-July)
- Communities in Schools of North Carolina School Supply Drive (Aug.-Sept.)
