Pedestrian Safety - Call for Projects
Increasing Pedestrian Safety across North Carolina

NCDOT aims to increase pedestrian safety improvements implemented in smaller urban and rural areas​ across North Carolina by leveraging unobligated federal funds eligible for pedestrian safety projects.

NCDOT is issuing a call for eligible entities to submit and sponsor projects that will run from October 6, 2025 through November 14, 2025. NCDOT will review submissions per funding program eligibility and scoring criteria. For selected projects, NCDOT will cover the non-federal match and administer the projects.
