Minimum Letter Size and Series
- 2-lane roadway section (no more than one through lane in either direction) and ramps, regardless of the number of lanes 6" D
- 4-lane roadway section (undivided, divided, etc.) 8" D
Arrows
The order of arrows and their destinations shall appear in the following order: Straight, left, right from top to bottom of sign. Destinations shown for each direction should ordinarily be the next county seat or the next principal city.
Arrows on Type D signs are not demountable.
Single Support Note
If Type D signs are erected on a single u-channel post, add the following note to the sign panel notes: “Erect sign on one U-Channel post.
