This chapter of the SDU Procedures Manual provides detail on the preparation of Pavement Marking Plans prepared for the NCDOT or to NCDOT standards. This section is organized to present general Pavement Marking Plan information first, followed by specific Pavement Marking Plan elements in the order those elements appear in a Pavement Marking Plan set. The details described herein are derived from the MUTCD, as well as other sources including AASHTO and NCDOT's practices and procedures.
