• 05 PAVEMENT MARKING AND DELINEATION PLANS

  • 5.21 Submittals

  • Submittals shall be agreed upon during the scoping phase of the project initiation.  Not all projects will require all submittals.  Some complex projects may require additional submittals that are not described below and shall be discussed and agreed upon between the Signing and Delineation Unit and the PEF during the scoping process.

    Typical Submittals

    • 30% Pavement Marking Concept Submittal (Linework)
    • 60% Preliminary Pavement Marking Plan (All callouts and stationing)
    • 90% Plan Checking Submittal (Sealed)
    • Final Pavement Marking Plan (Signed and Sealed)

Submittals shall be uploaded to the NCDOT Connect SharePoint Site as specified in the submittal.  Once uploaded, an email shall be sent to all applicable parties stating what submittal has been uploaded with a link to the subject submittal.

Checklists are available for the standard TIP design plan submittal.  If available, every submittal to the managing unit shall be accompanied by a completed Submittal Checklist.  The checklist is intended to guide the designer as to what plan elements and supporting documentation are required for each submittal.  A completed checklist conveys to the reviewer that the submitted package is complete.  Incomplete packages will be returned without review unless prior approval for a partial review is agreed upon by the Managing Unit and the PEF.
