What is the Multimodal Innovation Challenge?
The N.C. Department of Transportation strives to improve how it does business, works with its partners and enhances customer service.
That’s why the Multimodal Innovation Challenge exists: To assist in driving a culture of innovation within NCDOT, to elevate the level of employee engagement and to find solutions to everyday problems that employees may encounter.
We are looking for creative, innovative suggestions that focus on improving operations in these five divisions:
- Aviation
- Bicycle & Pedestrian
- Ferry
- Public Transportation
- Rail
Employee Initiative:
The Multimodal Innovation Challenge is an employee-led initiative overseen by the Innovation Challenge Committee. The group represents all of NCDOT’s modes and will vet the ideas you suggest. The committee members are:
- Catherine Peele, Ferry
- Cheryl Collins, Rail
- Tammy Montanez, Public Transportation
- Bryan Lopez, Bicycle and Pedestrian
- Ashley Clowes, Aviation
- Brooks Braswell, Division 1
- Julie White, Deputy Secretary of Multi-Modal Transportation
Who Can Participate?
The Multimodal Innovation Challenge is a unique opportunity for all NCDOT employees – regardless of the division they work in – to share their best ideas for making NCDOT’s multimodal divisions more efficient and function smoothly.
