    Fleet and Material Management Unit will conduct a surplus vehicle and equipment public auction.  The auction will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Moore County Fairgrounds from 9:00 AM until the last item is sold.  The Fairgrounds is located at 3699 US 15-501 Hwy, Carthage, NC 28327.  All items can be previewed on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on location.  A list of all items to be sold along with registration and payment requirements will be on this web site approximately two weeks before the auction date.  (www.ncstatesurplus.com)
    Please note: Payment can be made by certified check, cashier’s check, money order, cash, or personal check with a Letter of Guarantee from the bank. We do not accept wire transfer-credit cards-overnight mail or any form of payment other than those outlined in our literature.

  • Public Transportation Division Fall 2013 Conference - Steering through Change

    The North Carolina Department of Transportation Public Transportation Division's 2013 fall conference, Steering Through Change, will be held at the Hilton North Raleigh/Midtown Hotel Oct. 7 - 9. The hotel is located at 3415 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, North Carolina 27609.

    The conference will explore the challenges and advances in Geotechnical, Geophysical, and Geoenvironmental Engineering Technology Transfer. The Geotechnical field is constantly increasing in its complexity and rate of change. This conference aims to bring together designers, practitioners and research professionals involved in current geotechnical problems and technologies.
