| | | Contours in ArcMap Shapefile Format | Contours | ArcMap | ArcMap Shapefile Format | The contours were interpolated from the LiDAR elevation grid, which represents elevation at a 20-foot cell size with 1/10th of foot Z value accuracy. Expect small errors over open water or sound areas. Zip File contains 2 or 4, 20, and 100 foot interpolated contours in shapefile Format.
We do not distribute 2-foot contours for the mountain counties due to File size. for the mountain counties, 4-foot contours are available. Other 2-foot contours are only available for download after 5pm, also due to file size.

| | | LiDAR Products in ArcMap Grid Format | Elevation | ArcMap | ArcMap Grid Format | Available in ESRI grid format at 20-foot cell spacing for county level and 80 foot cell spacing for statewide level. Each elevation location has been rounded to the nearest foot.
Values range from -130 to 6680 feet. These represent the average elevation for the entire 20-foot grid cell. Negative values could indicate a rock quarry or an error in the LIDAR data. Expect small errors over open water or sound areas.

| | | LiDAR Products in ArcMap Grid Format | Hillside | ArcMap | ArcMap Grid Format | Available in ESRI format at 20-foot cell spacing for county level and 80 foot cell spacing for the statewide level. Hillside shading was created from the elevation data and allows the display of areas of shade. For a more effective map use a transparent elevation grid on top of the hillside shading.
The values are from 0 to 126, with 0 being complete shade. ArcMap 3D analyst can generate this type of file from the elevation grid. The hillside shading is not representative of a valid location for the sun. Light source is northwest to produce an effective view on a computer monitor.

| | | LiDAR Products in ArcMap Grid Format | Slope | ArcMap | ArcMap Grid Format | Available in ESRI grid format at 10-foot cell spacing for county level and 80 foot cell spacing for statewide level. It was created from the elevation data. Values have been rounded to the nearest 10 degrees.
The ten values are 0 to 90 by tens, with 0 being no slope, and 90 being for a steep cliff. ArcMap 3D Analyst can generate this type of file from the elevation grid. Resampling the elevation to a 10-foot cell was used to improve the accuracy of the slope grid.

| | | LiDAR Products in ArcMap Grid Format | Sunshine | ArcMap | ArcMap Grid Format | Available in ESRI grid format at 20-foot cell spacing for county. It was created from the elevation data. Two of the grids represent hours of sunshine in the morning and afternoon. The other three grids represent hours of sunshine for the entire day on the Winter Solstice, Summer Soltice, and the Equinox.
Statewide files are not available.
