Specific tasks will be assigned by the Hydraulics Unit project manager. Example tasks might include:

Task 1: Review available recommendations from the IPD Team, the Hydraulics Unit Data Management Plan (under development), and the Hydraulics Unit Strategic Plan (under development). Review list of comments and issues in the 2016 Guidelines discussion log and make recommendations regarding any inadquacies or corrections which need to be addressed. Consult with the State Hydraulics Engineer and select unit staff to identify the goals and objectives for the project. Compile these goals and objectives into a written project plan which defines specific deliverables, PEF and Unit team members for a given deliverable, and associated schedules.

Task 2: Execute the project plan which is expected to be phased to coincide with known near term objectives and additional objectives which emerge from recommendations being prepared by the various initiatives under development and mentioned above. These objectives will likely include an assessment of the Unit's various policies, procedures, guidelines, forms, and checklists to determine its continued relevance and purpose into the future. Relevant items will be updated as appropriate, and if necessary, be transformed into a format to most effectively deliver the content to the end user. Such formats may include web pages, geodatabases, MicroStation files, electronic forms of various formats, etc.

Task 3: Provide training for Hydraulics staff and end users to update on changes made to guidance and how best to utilize with IPD workflows. Format of training may be in brief online video modules, classroom setting, printed materials, or other means as deemed appropriate.

Task 4: Provide GIS support to NCDOT's Project Atlas Team related to the Unit's geospatial data.
