Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Program
Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) introduces new ways to move people and goods using emerging aviation aircraft and supporting technologies. Led by the Division of Aviation, AAM strengthens multimodal connections, expands mobility options, and enhances the movement of people and freight—supporting the vision outlined in the Advance Mobility NC Strategic Plan.
The Division of Aviation works with partners across government, industry, and research institutions to demonstrate real‑world applications, invest in enabling infrastructure, and prepare the policies and workforce needed to safely scale these technologies. This coordinated approach ensures that AAM delivers meaningful public benefit while supporting North Carolina's long‑term mobility, economic, and innovation goals.
