As an End User, you can choose to simply read and use the Connect NCDOT website as needed. But, SharePoint offers a number of features that let you download files, sort and filter lists, create alerts, and email links. You can find out how to do these tasks in the Help Files.

While no class training is provided to end users, there are Presentations and Exercises that can be adapted for self-paced training.

As a Contributor, you are responsible for maintaining content on the Connect NCDOT website, primarily by editing lists and libraries on team sites, project sites and/or web pages.

NCDOT employees who want to be a Contributor should attend the SharePoint 2013 Contributor class offered by the PC Training group to learn all about lists, libraries and content management. Class information is posted here under Presentations and Exercises. Class materials are for reference only for non-NCDOT personnel.

Class participants also have access to the SP Work Zone, where you can experiment with SharePoint features before you work on your own site.

Detailed, step-by-step help procedures are available in Help Files.
