Designers can maintain the content of lists and libraries on the Connect NCDOT website. But, in addition, Designers can create, configure and delete lists, libraries and pages, and work with advanced features such as filters, web parts, and content types.
NCDOT employees who want to be a Designer must attend the SharePoint 2013 Designer class offered by the PC Training group. Class information is posted here under Presentations and Exercises. Class materials are for reference only for non-NCDOT personnel.
Class participants also have access to the SP Work Zone, where you can experiment with SharePoint features before you work on your own site.
