Risk Assessments
NCDOT-IMD conducts Risk Assessments periodically in conjunction with our Compliance Reviews. This assessment will be completed and evaluated based on several factors such as:
Being a New Applicant
- Being an Awardee of an FTA Discretionary Grant
Building a New Federally-Funded Facility
- Compliance Review between 5-10 Findings
Compliance Review over 10 Findings
- Late Monitoring and Reporting
Change in their transit delivery model
Experiencing Staff Changes
Low Attendance to Monthly Call/Training
NCDOT-IMD will determine the appropriate level of oversight based on these factors which could result in:
Additional Oversight Required
- Additional Reporting Required
A Targeted Review on specific areas requiring compliance
Possibility of withholding funds and grant opportunities
The Risk Assessment document will not be shared with the subrecipient. The subrecipient may be notified of the results of the Risk Assessment, and NCDOT-IMD will work individually with each subrecipient on any action required, if applicable.
The Risk Assessment process will be evaluated as needed and may be subject to change.
