"Making the Affordable Housing and Public Transportation Connection" Presentation
This session focuses on the connection between Public Transportation and Affordable Housing. We explored the notion that public investment in new public transportation infrastructure is usually met with private investment capitalizing on the new market potential without voluntary regard to lower income populations that need to live close to their primary access to opportunities.
Transportation Planners, Land Use Planners and Policy Makers have begun to attempt to take inclusive stances across the nation, especially with approving Transit-Oriented Development. However, are there more pro-active approaches that should take place?
This webinar took place on Thursday September 12th at 2pm. If you missed it, you can still learn more about equitable solutions that can help shape your community’s future by watching the recording of the presentation.
