The Surry County Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) is a joint effort between Surry County, the City of Mt Airy, the Town of Pilot Mountain, the Town of Dobson, the Northwest Piedmont Rural Planning Organization, and the NCDOT - Transportation Planning Branch (TPB). This plan shall be based on the best information available including, but not limited to, population, economic conditions, traffic trends and patterns of land development in and around the County. This plan shall provide for the safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sensitive use of the transportation system while addressing current and future travel needs.
